Graves Advertising Specialties purchased their Direct To Garment Printing System during the summer of 2009 to provide their customers with low cost custom printed shirts and to provide more products and services “in house”. Graves Advertising Specialties is owned and operated Dennis Graves.
Dennis was born in Punta Gorda in 1967 when it was much smaller than the metropolis it is now. His family moved to Fort Myers when he was still very young. Dennis attended Tropic Isles Elementary, Suncoast Middle School and graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1985.
A couple of months after graduation Dennis joined the US Navy and graduated the Naval Nuclear Power Program in 1988. He was a Chemist on a Nuclear Powered Submarine and was responsible for maintaining the chemistry of both the Nuclear Reactor Coolant System and the Secondary Steam Propulsion System. His other duties included monitoring and performing maintenance on the Contaminated Coolant Systems, often wearing the cool-looking yellow haz-mat suits that Homer Simpson gets to wear. His final duty in the Navy was shipping radioactive material from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (where he was stationed for almost 4 years) to the Mainland.
He was discharged from the Navy in 1995 with an Honorable Discharge as a Disabled American Veteran. He was injured in a military related sports accident while playing for the Navy Roller Hockey Team. He moved back to Fort Myers after discharge and has remained here since, except the occasional trip to Las Vegas.
